Roey Pasternak, MD is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist currently practicing in Manhattan, New York and Englewood, New Jersey.
Dr. Pasternak specializes in ADHD, anxiety, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. He incorporates psychopharmacological, psycho-dynamic, cognitive-behavioral and supportive therapies, tailoring his approach to meet the specific needs of each client.
Education and certification
Dr. Pasternak graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development from Cornell University with a concentration in adolescent growth and development. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Sackler School of Medicine of Tel Aviv University, Israel and completed his residency in Adult Psychiatry at the Beth Israel Medical Center University Hospital and Manhattan campus for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Pasternak further specialized in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and is licensed to practice in the States of New York and New Jersey.
Dr. Pasternak is an active member of many national and international organization including the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP).
Honors and awards
Dr. Pasternak was selected by his peers as an outstanding practicing doctor in New York. After an extensive nomination and research process conducted by MSP Communications, the results were published in Super Doctors® Rising Stars℠, a special advertising section in the May 2018 issue of The New York Times Magazine. He was selected again in 2019.
BERGEN magazine commissioned Professional Research Services (PRS) to conduct a peer-review survey of thousands of practicing and active physicians across the county. Doctors were asked to select peers whom they deem are the best within their practice areas and whom they would seek out for particular procedures. Dr. Pasternak was chosen by his peers and honored as a Bergen County Top Doctor in the Bergen Magazine Issue of February 2019.
During his fellowship, Dr. Pasternak was honored with the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Educational Award at the 2011 AACAP Meeting in Toronto, Canada.
